Used as emulsifier, humectant, humectant, thickener and PH balancer in cosmetics (including skin washing, eye gel, moisturizing and shampoo, etc.). In cosmetic formula, it is used to neutralize fatty acid into soap and sulfated fatty acid into amine salt. Triethanolamine is a commonly used emulsifier in cream preparations. Cream products emulsified with triethanolamine have the characteristics of delicate paste and bright white paste. Besides, the colloidal phase formed by triethanolamine and higher fatty acids or higher fatty alcohols has good stability, stable product quality and high specific gravity of external ingredients. Triethanolamine is the most commonly used neutralizer for acidic polymer gels containing carbomer, etc. Triethanolamine neutralizes carboxyl groups of carbomer to form a stable polymer structure, thus achieving the application effect of thickening and moisturizing.
The addition of triethanolamine to liquid ***ergent can improve the removal of oily dirt, especially nonpolar sebum, and at the same time, the ***ergency can be improved by increasing alkalinity. And has excellent co***tibility.
Used as curing agent of epoxy resin, the reference dosage is 12-15 parts (mass fraction), and the curing conditions are 80℃/4h or 120℃/2h. It can also be used as vulcanization activator of natural rubber and synthetic rubber, polymerization activator of nitrile rubber, lubricating oil and anti-corrosion additive, etc. The long-chain fatty acid salt of triethanolamine is almost neutral, and can be used as an emulsifier for oils and waxes. |
